Prime Video detects VPN/Proxy when using NextDNS

Hi all,

After installing the Apple TV profile Netflix recognises a VPN and does not play any videos anymore. I have removed and tested various Blocklist and security settings, added a couple of blocked amazon domains to the allowlist but cannot get it to work.

Does any of you have encountered a similar problem and know any workaround?

    It's probably an issue with VPN/DNS IP not matching up. In any case try it without NextDNS and see if that fixes it. If it does, setting it up on the router instead of a profile might help so the VPN can use its own DNS. Altho this is just what I think is happening so you should test it out.

      Hey you are probably right. After deleting the profile it works again. Strange that it is only Prime Video that has this problem and Netflix continues to work with NextDNS. I don't think I can put NextDNS on the router though as ProtonVPN does not allow custom DNS addresses and I do not want to remove the router based VPN.
