Using server far away from actual location

Hello! I have noticed my NextDNS cli on my udm se continues to use further away server locations. I’ve seen it connect to Atlanta (which is fine) but then connect to Charlotte even though Ashburn VA is lower latency. Now, my dns requests are being routed to sjc which is San Jose. Please help.
