Alright, basically: You can create an account, no matter the domain, TLS, or surname.
I don't know if this is intentional or not, but it goes something like so:
1. Go to ‘my.nextdns.io/signup’ (log out, if you are).
2. Enter anything:
3. Append a password to the account.
4. And... There you go. A brand new, uh, “account.”
(I couldn't really crop it this time. Sorry!)
I don't really know if this has been really ‘mentioned’ before, but I believe there might be some similarities with other issues.
This is the first time I'm reporting something, and I don't know if I should; as some things are better ‘kept’ for oneself. I think this could be, well, abused. I think most know such already.

They are respecting your privacy. You can only do so much with a free account. If you want to make multiple accounts and reconfigure your settings all the time, you can do that. Is it worth the hassle vs $20/year? Only you can decide

People who are willing to abuse this isn't likely to going to pay for monthly sub anyway. There are also other providers that gives unlimited queries but no logging nor custom filtering, including NextDNS sister project dns0, so it's not like someone who can't/won't pay depends on NextDNS.

This is by design. You don’t need a valid email to use our service.
