Retailers UK based seem to be blocked

Hi

Does anyone know why most UK based retailers are being blocked?

E.g. argos, next, hm, zara, are a few I can think of

I have tried with a fresh profile and no ad block lists and still the same issue . Also added to safelist and still the same issue

Check the logs on your nextdns dashboard to view the reason why any particular DNS request is being blocked.

The logs don't show anything like those sites have been blocked. The browser just shows

"Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.johnlewis.com."

If I turn off the Next DNS it works fine. Wondering if there is another setting I am being blind about

Just tried hotels.com myself too and the same as you..

      "Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://hotels.com/" on this server.

    Disable Block page option?

I’m not seeing any problems from my connection, in the UK.

R P MHappy to try. Where do I find this option? Looked through the different setting tabs and can't see this.

Edit: found it and tried it but no joy unfortunately. With Hotels.com it seems to open the page but their own default "Sorry, we couldn't find the page you were looking for"

The others mentioned above still the same issue

What about trying https://uk.hotels.com ? You got to their page missing landing page, so you are connecting ok. Maybe there’s something in your browser that’s messing things up?

so tested different browsers as well as taking the DNS off. Only way I can get these websites to work is using a VPN. Really can't seem to figure out why. It's mental!

Ah, that sounds like an IP address problem. Your ISP has given you a bad reputation IP or there’s some geolocation problem with the specific IP you got.

If connecting via a router/modem, switch it off for about 15 minutes (to be sure) and then switch on. Then check to see if your IP address has changed from before.

I am indeed Howard. However am using my own router.

@r_p_m I'll try that and see if that does it. Turn everything off tonight and restart after a period of time

Same, I wonder if its an ISP issue because my mobile phone works if I disconnect from the router

It does seem that it is ISP related. I am in my office using the NextDNS profile and it's all working from here.

I have got the same issue for chewy.com when trying to open my account in chewy.com and then makes the entire chewy.com not work which isn't uk related but after the first query when the dns cache expires it works fine. it's odd
