USING DDNS
Hi there,
I am completely new atthis and would like to know how to use DDNS as I am using NextDNS with a VPN. When I get connected, the IP changes so I have to link the new IP with each connection.
According to the nextDNS webpage, to update the IP is possible using DDNS... But I do not know what I have to write in the section "DDNS Host".
Can anybody help, please?
Thank you very much.

When you setup a Dynamic DNS the service will provide you with a custom domain name. That domain you put into the DDNS Host section.
What service to use is for you to find yourself.

If you use a VPN, then don't link your VPN IP! You have to link your routers IP, and that is only needed if you want NextDNS to work on IPv4. Usually your router's ip changes only when you reboot the router (which isn't needed often).

Thanks for posting this question, as I tried to post a similar question over a week ago and it still hasn't been posted up by the moderators !! I set up a DDNS server at No-IP which was pretty easy I think but I have not had the chance to try it yet. I want to put NextDNS DNS servers on my father's router to stop him accessing scam websites etc but EE do not offer static IP addresses so it seems I need a DDNS which I then put into the NextDNS control panel.
