Can’t link DDNS host because my public IP and my router’s WAN IP are different

I made some changes to the profile I use for devices that have a NextDNS profile installed. I was too lazy to make the same changes to the profile I use for my home network, so I deleted the home network and cloned my default device profile.

I use a DDNS host to update my WAN IP with NextDNS. When I went to put in the same host I had used with the old deleted profile, I get an error that the IP from DDNS is different than my current IP.

Which is true! When I check my public IP, it is indeed different from my router’s WAN IP.

So what do I do? I’m frustrated that I’ve created a situation where my network is not protected.
