cant be sure if it works

hello

just installed it , how do i tell if it works as some settings were a mystery

also, what is it that i had to download ???, i didn't know that changing the dns needed a program on my pc

    Also in your account setup page it will say if you are using the correct profile. https://my.nextdns.io

      The program is to provide secure DNS (i.e. DoH) to your PC. What were the settings that you did not understand?

       i realize it was to change dns but last i did it i just entered a new  address in a box, why do i need a program....what am i missing or is this some sort of malware maybe.  thanx  

      sorry but are too many setting i dont understand, to list. should i simply start again and use default settings

      Yes, you can try starting again. Just write down what setting you don't understand as you go along and post list here later.
