NextDNS CLI on EdgeOS - /var/log/messages filling up

I just set up NextDNS CLI on an EdgeRouter X and it's filling /var/log/messages up with entries like this one (about 1000 of them per day)

Feb 23 14:42:32 router nextdns[22997]: Connected 104.36.148.181:443 (con=30ms tls=65ms, TCP, TLS13)

I have log-queries set to false already (it was the default). Is there any way to reduce the log verbosity? I saw this post with the same issue but I'm not sure how to adapt it to EdgeOS.  Maybe I can edit the file at /config/scripts/post-config.d/nextdns.sh ?
