Password changed but app is not asking to update password

I have configured nextdns as DNS for router and I blocked some games.

My kids discovered the password and installed the app on their phone and started to enable games.

To reset it have updated the password and I can login with new password to the portal but app is still working without asking to update the password.

It seems like a bug in the App where it is not realising password is changed and it should be updated at App level too.

I am missing anything at app level?

The app does not require a password, so does not need to be updated to work.

As mentioned by R P M, the official NextDNS app (at least on my iPhone) doesn't use your NextDNS password, just a profile ID. You can set a 4-digit passcode to prevent children from turning off NextDNS on the device, but it is not based on your account password and changing your account password won't do anything to the passcode on the app.

I know on Android that there are third-party apps for changing NextDNS account and profile settings easily with your phone. I don't believe that those are official apps though, and they don't handle DNS lookups, just allow account/settings changes. I would recommend clearing the data for those apps then removing them from your childrens' devices (simply removing them might have some persistent settings that are reused if the app is reinstalled), and hopefully they would prompt for a password if reinstalled.
