NextDNS killed Linux laptop!

I tried installing NextDNS on my Linix laptop following their direction but afterwards it couldn't access the internet at all and when I tried to remove it I got an error saying Access Denied!

NextDNS wouldn't take on my Starlink dish either, so far it's been a failure!

Which directions did you use? There are multiple directions supplied by NextDNS.

I tried the second one that installed their app and it seemed to work but there was no internet connection at the end.

      1. Run the following command: sh -c "$(curl -sL https://nextdns.io/install)"

      2. Follow the instructions.

You can run that command again, there should be an option to uninstall.

Also what Linux are you running? It would be helpful to know.

Linux Mint and like I said, when I tried to remove it I got an error saying Access Denied!

However after rebooting the laptop it went back to normal so the app didn't stick!

Strange, not sure what happened there. It’s an easy process on ubuntu based systems.

Anyway, before trying again it might be a good idea to check your connectivity to NextDNS pop servers (from all your other posts I get the feeling that your internet provider might be blocking access to NextDNS). So a quick check is to visit https://ping.nextdns.io on your current connection and see if there are errors showing up.

I don't think Starlink blocks anything but I'm not going to waste my time trying it again.

Surely you'd want to know why it didn't work? All I'm asking is for you to visit https://ping.nextdns.io to see for any errors.
