EdgeRouter switches to Cloudflare DNS
I have NextDNS set as my primary DNS, and Cloudflare as the secondary. I did this because one day NextDNS apparently went down, because all queries stopped, and changing the DNS to Cloudflare immediately fixed it.
So now, if I'm on the NextDNS setup page, the status keeps switching from saying it's using NextDNS to saying it's using Cloudflare. Is this perhaps the router trying to balance between the primary and secondar DNS I have set? Is there a setting somewhere to change the behavior?

This will be the behavior of most clients. You can't mix two providers, blocking won't work correctly. NextDNS primary and secondary in each location are hosted on different providers / networks so it is safe to use them.

Thanks, I'll change it back to using the secondary that NextDNS provides, and see how it goes

First and second (sometimes even third) DNS settings confuse a lot of users.
It's not a list which will be used in that/ any order but using fastest DNS for the specific query.
So, if you don't want leaks, use only one DNS.

Hello. Today, again, all DNS queries stopped working. Unable to ping either of our NextDNS IP Addresses. Internet was completely down until we switched our DNS to another provider
