That would defeat the point of users enabling NRD isn't it? Why should such domains get a pass?

I did not ask for all NRDs to get a pass. May be you need to read about Reddit/mod/API issues. Lemmy is a so-called Federated thingy. So, I said if it would be possible to 'allow' may be popular lemmy instances.  🖐️🎤

Nikola I don't care about reddit issues or Lemmy being federated. NRD definition merely says it would block domain registrered for less than a month. I would be very annoyed if some spammers create a lemmy domain to get a pass and then serve ads/malware from there.

NRD is not enabled by default, so someone enabling it either wants it and knows the consequence, or someone who just blindly toggles everything and then cries why their lemmy or other random apps don't work.

Martheen I understand his point of view and he isn't completely wrong either, as he may want the protection from other domains whilst having certain things work.

But as you've said, if NextDNS were to complete whitelist all Lemmyies it would be self sabotage since everyone would use it to bypass the protection provided by NextDNS.

Hey He could just whitelist those domains himself, no point in forcing others to the risk.
