Spike in queries

I experienced a spike in DNS queries even though usage remained low.  Are there any settings that may have caused this?

What device is creating the queries?   You’d be surprised to learn how many background process are phoning home or worse

I believe majority of the queries are coming from Macbook device

are they being blocked?   Is there a specific FQDN that is seeing a high number of queries?   If you want help you’re going to have to be more specific.   I’m a MacBook user.   I haven’t noticed anything unusual.    Often the FQDN will help you determine what’s causing the queries

Under "Blocked Reasons - Security, Privacy and/or Parental Control settings that blocked the most queries",  I'm seeing a lot of queries for  "NextDNS Ads & Trackers Blocklist".  Are these counted as part of NextDNS query quota?

it sounds like you’re looking in analytics rather than logs.   please look in your logs and see if any specific FQDN is being looked up more than others.   They could be blocked or not blocked, they will all count towards your quota

You can look at your query count within your account (upper right corner).

Queries appear to have come from some unknown device.  I've reset things to remove device.  Thanks
