Feature Request – Customizable Domain Registration Age for Newly Registered Domains (NRDs)
Hello,
I would like to request an improvement to the Block Newly Registered Domains (NRDs) feature.
Currently, the feature has a fixed domain registration age threshold. I believe it would be much more useful if users could choose how old a domain can be before it is no longer blocked.
For example, I would like to have the option to select:
- 3 months (90 days)
- 6 months (180 days)
- 1 year (365 days)
Ideally, this could be implemented as a configurable setting, allowing users to choose the maximum domain registration age according to their security requirements.
Use case:
I recently came across the following website:
Despite having NRD protection enabled, this domain was not blocked. Upon checking its registration information, I found that it was registered approximately 10 months ago.
Domains used for phishing, fraudulent online stores, and other malicious activities can remain active for much longer than the current NRD detection window.
Extending the protection period would provide an additional layer of security, especially for users who prefer a more restrictive DNS configuration.
My suggestion:
Allow users to configure the NRD blocking period, with predefined options such as 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, and 365 days.
This would give users greater flexibility without changing the default behavior for those who prefer the current settings.
Thank you for considering this feature request!
