Russia everywhere

I guess it was a bit naive to trust NextDNS to keep us safe. Just accidentally I stumbled across the fact that they're (still?) hosting some servers in Russia. I know, it's for the good of the people of Russia who live in Russia and are all too eager to be spied upon, but I'm outta here. Or maybe you can hope that since you live in EU, your particular NextDNS instance won't default to a server in Russia. Or Malaysia. Hell, why not Iran or Israel too? It's all about the clever algorithms that prevent that of course. Sure.

For example, 45.142.246.128.
Who the hell are "Misaka Network"? What agreements does NextDNS have with their providers? We know nothing about that.

So folks, be wary. Even if your threat level is low, do always check for transparent disclosures. It's great to have some marketing copy in big letters assuring you that all data is deleted and all that blah, but then there are hard facts that are omitted - what countries? - what agreements with the governments of said countries? - what software? - where is the user agreement and how comprehensive is it? - all those things matter, and none are there for NextDNS.

I'm sure NextDNS will come out and say it's all Misaka's fault. Hear you. All Misaka...
