Few Observations and queries about NextDNS
So I have been using NextDNS for a few days now. I am learning now things about it. And I have a few queries/Observations about it.
If I connect my laptop to my phone using the hotspot, it is bypassing the NextDNS. I have a profile on both Android Phone as well as the Laptop. Yet it chose the DNS of the ISP. Is this normal behavior?
I have a Macbook with a "A" profile and I am connected to the router with a "B" profile. Most of the traffic goes through the "B" profile through the router which is unencrypted. Yet, some of the traffic still goes through the "A" profile. How is this possible?
Also, when I go to the DNS settings of my wifi, it shows me the DNS IP addresses of the "B" - router profile and not my personal profile IP addresses which is installed in the Macbook.
Again I don't think this behavior is normal. What am I doing wrong here?

For the phone hotspot question, yes it’s unfortunately expected behaviour.
How have you setup NextDNS on your MacBook? Without knowing more it’s difficult to give any advice.

I have a profile installed on my Macbook. So a lot of applications do not follow the profile and bypass the profile. Is that expected?

So I realized that MacOS Profile does not work perfectly. I got the CLI version installed and it is working perfectly as of now. Now when I use Hotspot but it still uses the NextDNS.
Even the second issue was related to the profile. For some reason profile implementation is not working in multiple ways. I dont know if it is Apple issue or NextDNS. But CLI has solved both the issues for now.
