Can NextDNS Integrate with Edge Computing Platforms to Improve DNS Query Handling?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been exploring ways to optimize our DNS infrastructure and came across the concept of edge computing. Given its potential for improving performance and reducing latency, I’m curious about how NextDNS could integrate with edge computing platforms.

Specifically, I’m interested in understanding the following:

Integration Capabilities: Can NextDNS be integrated with edge computing platforms to enhance DNS query handling? If so, how does this integration work?

Performance Improvements: What kind of performance benefits can we expect from such an integration? For instance, how would DNS resolution times and overall query handling improve with edge computing?

Implementation Challenges: Are there any known challenges or limitations when setting up NextDNS in conjunction with edge computing environments? What should we be aware of during implementation?

I’m eager to hear from anyone who has experience or insights on this topic. Your feedback will be invaluable as we plan our next steps in leveraging edge computing for our DNS needs.

Thanks in advance for your help!

NextDNS is designed for use on user endpoint devices or endpoint networks, not as an infrastructure DNS. In the architecture you are describing, you should either maintain your own caching resolver or use the one provided by your cloud provider.
