Intermittently changing resolvers
Testing out NextDNS in place of my piholes right now. Connected and setup NextDNS through my Ubiquiti Unifi Cloud Gateway Ultra and randomly will get an error saying that either cloudflare is setup as my resolver, NextDNS is connected, but not setup, or NextDNS is connected and working properly. Going to test.nextdns.io often yields "OK" but if I refresh it enough, sometimes it pops up as "unconfigured." I disabled all of my old cloudflare and Pi-Hole connections in the UCG and setup NextDNS in the encrypted DNS setting. All networks are set to Auto, which should use the UCG as the DNS server on each device, routing it to NextDNS, correct? What am I missing here?

Fixed it. Once I removed the content filter via Cybersecure>Content Filter in the Unifi router, it started working. It has something to do with the new Unifi Network App update from last week.

For reference, there is a better way, cited by Mike V on some other posts.
"Simply go to your NextDNS account > Setup > Router and scroll down to DNSCrypt. Copy the server name (NextDNS-yourid) and stamp (sdns://...) and paste them into the Unifi Encrypted DNS settings in Settings > CyberSecure > Protection."
