300.000 lookups in a month for two people?

I just managed to exceed 300K lookups.

It is just my girlfriend and I in the apartment.

My question is if this is a reasonable amount for two people,
or if I should look for an over eager device somewhere in my network?

Just to be clear, I dont mind subscribing.
I am amazed it is free to start with.
I am just worried if I should be looking for something wrong in the network

  • Depends on how many devices (in your apartment) are using your config; the general idea is the more the amount of devices, the more the amount of queries (aka lookups)

  • My wife and I exceed 1.2 million per month.    30-35% get blocked by filters or settings.

3 cell phones, 1 TV, 5 cameras, 2 tablets, 3 computers, 1 Roku, maybe a few additional devices.

Subscribing was a no-brainer after just a couple days' evaluation.

  • My experience, also. An example of how much spurious traffic is being generated in the background. Check the logs. Subscribe. It's worth the peace of mind and ease of administration.
