Next DNS Block Firefox Mobile ads + Browser YouTube? New To DNS

So I've been on the hunt for an ad blocker that blocks ads/pop-up for Firefox on iOS, and searching for an option has been pretty challenging. Most ad block apps through the app store only work for Safari (I don't like Safari on iOS, been trying to replace it for awhile due to several annoyances with it) and I mainly use Firefox on my iMac too. Ad blocks on the desktop is easy to handle and instal, but mobile is a different story.

I'd just like to be able to use Firefox to block ads when browsing and for occasionally watching YouTube through the mobile browser itself (not the app) and wondered if Next DNS could do that. I saw there's a NDNS app in the app store but it hasn't been updated in two years, I heard you don't need a separate app for installing NDNS so I wanted to know more about it, if it can do what I want and the simplest way to instal it and use it.

Otherwise if there's other apps I'm not aware of that block iOS Firefox ads for my needs I'm open to suggestions!

NextDNS works device wide, so it shouldn't matter what your browser is, but pop-ups and YouTube ads are something that unfortunately DNS can't block, NextDNS can block the ad that the pop-up opens but it can't block the pop-up from happening as it's a script that's imbedded inside the website.

So you can block nearly all ads and also give you a piece of mind in terms of malicious sites as it has everything from AI to nearly every other layer of security that most enterprise DNS services use.

For YouTube and pop-ups, you could try using Brave as it can modify websites and block imbedded ads.

So you'd block nearly all ads inside apps, have a layer of security and get rid of the annoyances by using NextDNS and Brave / other ad-blocking browsers.

Hey From what I see on Reddit, several people claim that Next DNS paired with an ad blocker capable of "cosmetic filtering" or phone wide ad blocking is a solution. I see several people suggest Next DNS mixed with Ad Guard Pro. That's potentially a good solution to try out as well

Brandy Boi Yeah that could also work out, I try to avoid apps as a whole as much as possible since they only cause points of failure, so since you're going to use a browser either way, could be more efficient to simply block the ads on your browser in order to block YouTube or Pop-up ads that can't be blocked via NextDNS while also reducing the load on your phone by having DNS do the rest.

Both ways are doable though so it's your choice.
