Blocklists

Why are the majority of blocklists outdated?

If the lists hasn't been updated in 6 months or longer, they should be deleted. It wouldn't be so bloated of abandoned lists!

Yes, most of the lists are no longer maintained, are outdated and are now archived (frozen in their last state). No idea why these are not removed. The lists are completely useless because there is a much better alternative.

What is currently maintained and much more is covered by the hagezi lists. You only need one of his lists. Depending on how aggressively you want to block, there are different versions to choose from. I use the Pro as my only list without any problems and everything that can be blocked is blocked.

For me, his lists are by far the best and most effective.

Yea I use Hagezi, but the others should be purged.

Adguard is also worth keeping on the list, however, nextdns are not utilising the adguard exceptions (effectively hot fixes).  If using adguard dns I suggest manually adding the adguard exceptions to the nextdns whitelist.
