Link-ip shows up in nextdns logs on iphone

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been asked else where. As I tried doing a search first but was not getting anywhere-fast.

I have read that linking the ip on mobiles in not recommended - so i haven't. However, i am confused as i'm seeing link-ip.nextdns.io in my phones (ios) nextdns logs. Can someone please explain this to me?

    It could be from visiting the setup page on my.nextdns.io

    Check the times in the logs, see if it’s similar to when you visit the page.

      Thank you for your reply. It does seem to appear when i visit my.nextdns.io. There were three of them. However, i'm still curious to why it appears, by any chance are you able to explain why this happens?

       It could be caused by the browser “prefetching” links on the page, which is usually done to speed up browsing. Sometimes it’s possible to switch that function off in the browser settings. 
      Another possible reason would be some sort of security feature checking links on page, to make sure there’s nothing bad with them.
