No longer resolving - how to troubleshoot?

Suddenly this afternoon, my browsers stopped resolving, and after I restart of my computer, I changed the DNS in each of them away from NextDNS. My wifi which is using NextDNS is still resolving, however.

Seeing as I didn't change any settings in any of the configurations, I'm not sure how to start troubleshooting this. What do you recommend?

You can try linking the IP again if your IP isn't static and it changed. I would also recommend using the built in options on your Phone / PC like Private DNS on Android and Apple Configuration Profile for iOS instead of having it on the router.

Hey Thanks. I'll give it a go, but I'm not so sure if that's it because it's only affecting a couple of browsers, not all of my Internet connection. At least, I hope not, as router-wide coverage was a big draw! Thank you for your pointer.

Dustin Coates If you set it up in your browser it will only do browser filtering but installing the App on Windows and using the Profiles or Built in options for the rest will do device wide filtering.

Mac's have a configuration option, mobile devices have system wide blocking. With Windows 11 it will be a built in option as well so soon you won't need a single app.

With routers unless you have a newer router that supports DoH or DoT I wouldn't personally bother.

Even if it's configured on your router having it on your Mobile phone and Laptop that move around and connect to different networks makes it consistent over any network like mobile data and other wifi networks.
