8 CLI dot releases in 5 hours: quality control?

Today NextDNS released 8 CLI dot releases in 5 hours, which makes me wonder/worry about quality (control).

What’s going on?

We worked on fixing two issues in the CI for openwrt and alpine release automation. This requires creating new release to test the whole chain. The binary itself was the same in all dot releases.

NextDNS There's no staging environment to test that?

Rob no, this is an automation with another open source repository. It is hard to test without running it. Are those no-op revisions impacting you in any way?

NextDNS A bit. I have an automation that puts a task in my todo list (“Update NextDNS CLI on router”) whenever there’s a new release in the NextDNS/NextDNS GitHub repository. So yesterday I had 8 of those tasks in my todo list. Luckily I did not have time yet, so I will have to perform only 1 update, but I might have wasted time doing it 8 times yesterday…

I think it gives a really bad (first?) impression to (potential) users: it looks like you made a mistake in a release (that can happen) and you need many bug fix releases to fix it (bad).
