iOS Private Relay and NextDNS

Hello,

is it possible to make NextDNS work together with iOS Private Relay?

I have tried but after having enabled Private Relay, NextDNS Dashboard shown a red dot saying “this device is not using NextDNS”

    PrivateRelay use Cloudflare in background but NextDNS can still filter domains.

      Rob Apple does not provide ETA. It does not look like it is high in their priorities.

      NextDNS I have disabled the block page feature under settings and I have noticed that sometimes there is the green dot “all right’, sometimes refreshing the page, it comes the red dot.

      Can you please clarify what is going on when both Private Relay and NextDNs are enabled and where is The bug on Apple side?

      It would be very interesting.

      Daniele Feel free to ignore the dot. Here are some details from NextDNS on this. DNS is duplicated, but filtering works. You will see both Apple's partners like Cloudflare (or Akamai, etc.) and NextDNS on browserleaks.com/ip if you run a DNS leak test. 

      It would be up to Apple to provide you with further information about where exactly their bugs are coming from. They aren't exactly communicative about it in my experience.
