Do I Need a DynDNS Hostname to Link My External IP with NextDNS on UCG-Ultra?

Do i need to use a DynDNS hostname in order to link my external IP with nextdns? Or will the client handle the updates automatically for the linked IP?

I'm using a UCG-Ultra and have installed the nextnds client through ssh as regarding the docs at UnifiOS · nextdns/nextdns Wiki

    For the NextDNS CLI you do not require to use the linked IP feature (it is only required when using the IPv4 server numbers alone).
