Missing name for local dns server

Hi

My tplink router doesn’t support cli, so I installed nextDNS and dnsmasq on a Nanopi. 
Using the nextDNS website I can see all my device names in the log, except for my router and the Nanopi.  (Wan address is shown for both)

I expected that the router wouldn’t resolve to a name, but any idea as to why the Nanopi, i.e. my local dns server, would only show the Wan ip address and not resolve to a name?

Note: I did see the nanopi device name in the log when I first installed the cli, but after configuring nextDNS and dnsmasq to work together it is no longer showing up.
