NextDNS Windows Client Removed from GitHub

The NextDNS Client for Windows used to be open source at github.com/nextdns/windows but now the repository no longer exists.

Is there a reason it was made private/deleted?

I liked that the program was open source and I could see release notes for each version and poke around to see how the program works. Additionally it was nice to report any bugs I experienced/would experience and see the resolution of said bugs. I am very disappointed that the program is no longer available on GitHub.

As a privacy/security focused service, I find it very concerning to walk back on open-sourcing an integral part of the service.

Edit: There have been other users that have noticed/made complaints about this disappearance on reddit and on these forums. Could we please get an official response on this issue?

Just a guess but now that Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android all support encrypted DNS natively they've probably decided there's no need for a client anymore... thought I agree they could have left a link or something explaining.

Michael S They still recommend downloading the windows application first, and they just released docs on how to mass deploy it. I don't think it is being phased out or development is stopping.
