Analytics Showing Zero Queries

I have NextDNS ip addresses configured in my router. The Analytics page in NextDNS is showing zero blocked queries in the last 30 days. If I switch to 3 months, it shows block statistics. dnsleaktest.com shows that my laptop (what I'm on now) is using nextdns. The setup tab on the NextDNS says "This device is using NextDNS with no profile."

Why am I not seeing anything being blocked?

The only thing that has changed recently is that I turned off custom DNS on my android phone (probably 30 days ago or more). That leads me to believe that none of the other devices on my network are actually having any blocking applied. Again, dnsleaktest indicates that my laptop is using NextDNS. Shouldn't I be seeing block statistics?

Never mind. I figured out the problem myself. My IP address wasn't updated in the Setup tab. I updated that and it started showing statistics. Configured Dynamic DNS in my router so it will update automatically going forward.

Glad you got this figured out. Just checking, you were talking about having added the Linked IP addresses configured in your router, yeah? If so, just confirming that you are aware that using those IPs makes your DNS queries go out in plain text over UDP:53 and not one of the TLS secured protocols like DoH or DoT (or DoQ)?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I understand. If my router uses DynDNS to update the IP address in NextDNS, doesn't it simply allow NextDNS to associate the DNS queries coming from my IP address to my account?

Really sorry for the delayed reply. I got caught up in some sort of anti-spam filter here on this site and couldn't make any posts until that got corrected.

So if you are using "plain DNS"--in other words, DNS over UDP, which is unencrypted and plaintext over the internet--then the method you are doing is correct. If you desire more privacy in your DNS queries, you'll want to utilize one of the secure protocols instead of plain DNS. This would mean making use of NextDNS' DoH, DoT, or DoQ protocols. These encrypt your query data in transit so only you and NextDNS know the contents of the query.

Hopefully that makes sense and helps. If you have more questions, let me know!
