NordVPN and NextDNS

Hi

I am using NordVPN with NextDNS as a custom DNS. My VPN server connection is France however the NextDNS server shows Belgium.

If I use only NextDNS the server location shows France same thing if I use NordVPN own DNS. It is only when I setup NextDNS within NordVPN application that I get Belgium.

Any idea what's wrong? A solution to solve the problem?

    The IP is nextdns and Belgium is next to france, it could be that the VPN endpoint you are connecting to through NordVPN is placing you closest to the available nextdns servers for that area. If you ping that iP address or check latency is is good or slow?

    I am used to have 1ms now I get 9ms or 6ms without VPN. The IP is worst 10-13ms.

      Although those latency speeds are phenomenal compared to mine, if it is working great when not on VPN and only on VPN I would guess perhaps trying another DNS to test in your VPN configuration and see how that fairs. I could be that NordVPN has some security routing features or in nextdns dashboard the Client Subnet option is on or off? I would test other DNS and then revert back to NextDNS if still an issue then perhaps their support might could figure it out on their end.
