NextDNS app in OpenWRT support DNS-over-QUIC?

I installed the official NextDNS application via opkg on OpenWrt 24.10.0 and configured it through the graphical interface. Everything worked immediately after entering the identifier. Based on the package description, the program only supports DNS-over-HTTPS, which is confirmed by the logs.

My questions:

  1. If I understand correctly based on the information I found online, OpenWrt does not currently implement HTTP/3 by default, which is potentially required for the NextDNS application to support the DNS-over-QUIC protocol. Is that correct?
  2. Does the official application currently support DNS-over-QUIC in any way?

  3. If I want to use DNS-over-QUIC, I’ll need to rely on third-party software for now, right?

  4. In the future, if all the necessary conditions are met (i.e., HTTP/3 is implemented), are there any plans for the NextDNS application to support DNS-over-QUIC?

If in the future OpenWRT implements HTTP/3 and the NextDNS application also supports it, then great—I can wait for it. However, if there are no such plans, I will just try to configure Unbound, AdGuard, or something similar.
