NextDNS CEO

NextDNS need to block fingerprints and  NEXT DNS filter need to block more tracking like DuckDuckGo blocker . NextDNS need to listen users feedback .  And need to hide IP Address From Websites. Safari does it even it's not VPN. why can't NextDNS do it?  I will fight for NextDNS until they brings those features.

    Fingerprint is dealt on browser level, NextDNS can't change those, you'll need either a browser extension, a browser specifically designed to thwart fingerprinting, or an app that MITM traffic to strip the metadata.

    Safari hide user's IP with Private Relay, which works like a proxy. NextDNS doesn't have such functionality except for limited link tracking traffic.

    You're essentially asking NextDNS to create entirely new apps/extension and massively increase their infrastructure, while so far even minor upgrade take months.

      fingerprint can't blocked by DNS level.. it's not possible ...

      WELL. may take time or year but i want nextdns bring hide user's IP. On ios 17 Apple has new features hide user's IP  on safari ... but it cannot use on other browser... apple does it it's not vpn

      WELL if they don't bring hide user's IP  then it is no big difference than AdGuard DNS servies.

       

      blocking tracking and ad is what AdGuard DNS can do. there is no big difference between NextDNS. so if would be nice if nextDNS hide all user's IP ....

       Technically NextDNS can bring such functionality, but one of the founder is working on Netflix, this kind of functionality would be at odds with Netflix's official policy against proxies & VPN, which can be a conflict of interest.

      What you want doesn't really matter, the founders are more interested on other stuff rather than implementing such feature.

      Yes, AdGuard DNS is indeed meant to compete with NextDNS. If you want proxy/VPN features with customizable adblocking, check ControlD or Windscribe.

      so  what's founder focus goals on nextdns it seems like copying AdGuard DNS features.

      NextDNS is AdGuard DNS copycat.

       

      It should be different like Chrome and Edge.. Edge browser is based on Chromium but it's totally different. so NextDNS more need to be different than AdGuard DNS. To be more private . The main reason people use AdGuard DNS is for protect their privacy but NextDNS aren't doing great job.

       Huh? The customizable server-based DNS blocking of AdGuard is released years after NextDNS, so if anything it's AdGuard that is copying NextDNS. The earlier AdGuard DNS isn't customizable.

      Michael S WELLL AdGuard is not Russia. It's Cyprus

      AdGuard Software Limited was founded in 2009 in Moscow. In 2014 AdGuard Moved to Limassol, Cyprus.

      No longer Russia company. Adguard follows EU Union Privacy law

       The customizable AdGuard DNS is released in August 2022, NextDNS has been customizable since its initial release, out of beta in May 2020. So apparently NextDNS has a time machine to copycat a product released years later?
