UniFi Flex Mini Remote Adoption (Layer 3) via Next DNS Rewrite

In case anyone else is trying to adopt a flex mini to a cloud controller.  You can use the Unifi the instructions at the bottom minus the :8080/inform

Go to my.nextdns.io

Settings / New rewrite

Domain : unifi

Answer : http://ip-address or http://FQDN

If use  unifi hosting you can get your inform url from the network page

click "copy inform URL" and just trim off the :8080/inform

http://(your hosted ID).unifi-hosting.ui.com

DNS

You'll need to configure your DNS server to resolve unifi to your remote UniFi Network Application.

There are two methods of specifying the machine running the Network Application:

• IP Address: http://ip-address:8080/inform
• Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN): http://FQDN:8080/inform
