Disable NextDNS on demand - options?

Hi, I have one router w/static IP and about 17 endpoints. I would prefer to set NextDNS DNS server on the router itself (Linksys Velop) so I can protect the whole network. Logging pr endpoint is not important. However, there are some sites I access on my Macs where I cannot get the full content unless I disable NextDNS. The only way I have found where I can do this on the fly, would be to set 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (or similar), install the NextDNS app on the Macs and disable NextDNS from the toolbar when needed (or install a profile and disable NextDNS from 'network preferences'). I have created NextDNS profiles for my iPhones and iPad. So, do I have an option to disable on demand when I have set NextDNS on the router? Thanks.

Have you been checked your logs to identify what's getting blocked and why?   You could just add those entries to your Allow list and life would be good for your Macs.

Hi, yes, there are about 10-15 entries each time. I have looked at a few entries blocked and it is reporting ads and tracking. A bit of work to enter all this in the allow list. And, might that not open up ads/tracking for sites I intend to have blocked?

I use the CLI on my Mac, and use the deactivate/activate commands when needed.

Calvin Hobbes Have not tried that. I am using one M1 and one Intel Mac, both running latest Big Sur. How would I do that? Also, how is that different from using the NextDNS app? Will using CLI bypass NextDNS DNS servers set on the router?

Calvin Hobbes Hi, thanks. That I can do on the Macs. Will that bypass the NextDNS DNS servers? I have linked my fixed IP to the DNS servers and configured this on the router.
