It would be really nice if you could add new blocklists and remove old ones that are no longer current or maintained. Some of the lists have not been maintained for years.

To expand on this, I think it needs to be acted on as I e.g. see there is entries in the default ad tracker list e.g. blocking cookielaw which breaks a fair few sites, using that list I also couldnt pay for games on the xbox store.  There is abandoned disconnect lists on there which to be frank makes nextdns look like a unmaintained project, and you are missing several higher quality lists.

The ultimate solution is to add the ability for people to add their own blacklists, it removes the headache from nextdns in needing to check if lists are still relevant etc, but if you cant do this, then you should be adding everything that is requested and still being maintained.  At least do some housekeeping.

Some of those block-lists are still useful even if not updated frequently. Some of them don't need to be.

Neither of those lists need to be constantly updated, however they are both still very useful.

Of course, all the lists need to be reviewed. Those that are older than a year have been partially integrated into newer lists, and there are new ones that are much better than the outdated ones here.

There's no need to sugarcoat it or beat around the bush. I really don't understand why this isn't happening at NextDNS; it can't be that difficult for such a small team.

It's no wonder that so many people are switching to the competition...
