Enable/disable NextDNS on Windows without relying on the GUI.

Is there a way to execute CLI commands (e.g. nextdns activate) from the windows command prompt or powershell? I have the Windows CLI GUI installed which works fine from the taskbar.  I've tried opening a command window with admin privileges, CD to the nextdns program folder, but when I try any nextdns <cmd> it simply returns. No error, output or impact , including nextdns help.  Ideally, would like access to all documented CLI commands from the Windows command line (or powershell),

I've previously used the CLI on a raspberry pi where it worked as expected. Now looking for similar Windows 10/11 functionality.
