Set the default storage location for the DNS logs based on the users location
The current default location for DNS logs is the United States. My suggestion is that the default location should be chosen based on where the user lives, e.g. someone who lives within the EU should have the EU set as the default location, while someone who lives in Switzerland should have Switzerland set as the default, and so on.
Why? I think the United States are generally a bad choice due to their weak data protection regulations. And I believe it's a bad idea to store EU citizens' data by default outside of the EU, especially since Meta was fined for doing something similar, as far as I'm aware. I also think it's expected by the user that their personal data is stored securely under the data protection laws of their country. I also didn't find a mention that your personal data is stored outside of your region, e.g. the EU in your Privacy Policy.
