Can I use VPN & NextDNS together ?

Yes I want to use both at the same time , Is that possible ?

if possible can someone tell me how to do so using the following AsusWRT Merlin, IOS, Mac, Windows and Android please.

Yes, using Mullvad and YogaDNS set to NextDNS right now....Windows.

If you configure VPN in the system (do not use service VPN App), normally system DNSs are used.

You can use Private Internet Access VPN:

On MacOS... install the NextDNS profile and select "existing DNS" in PIA.

On IOS.. gets a bit tricky, since there is not an option in PIA for "existing DNS" you can..

1. Use "custom" DNS and put in the NextDNS IP addresses, this will not be DOH, however you are on a VPN so traffic, including DNS queries are encrypted (I think).

2. Second option on IOS and iPad OS is to use Adguard App for DNS (not NextDNS profile) and configure the Adguard DNS settings with NextGuard DOH IP. Then, in PIA, you have to select "IPSEC" as the protocol. This combination allows for a "split" VPN and you get both DOH and VPN.
