For changing your ID I don't think that's a thing, its generated automatically and you can't change it as far as I know. (I might still be wrong.) For the translations it shows the websites nextdns.io and my.nextdns.io translated not the application so the app itself might not have your language.

Hey I want to change my configuration ID because I can make the setup easier on other computers.

NAM LUU HAI You should make an idea request, at the moment its not a feature yet but if enough people want it they might just add it. If you have issues etc I'll try to assist to my knowledge. Also I'm not a part of NextDNS so I can't do much just a user.

Also don't take this as NextDNS people being lazy most of the functions of DNS are under the hood. They have to make sure everything is updated and running smoothly and competing with the best DNS services  Response times and general responsiveness while filtering the requests. Being fast and blocking advertising its not exactly an easy job and other newer services are having issues with some servers in certain places not having enough bandwidth etc.

The ID has to be unique, so I doubt they will let users chose an ID themselves.

Rob It can happen the same system is used for username generation on basically every social media site, if it exists you have to pick another one that's not already being used. But I would think that it would be added only if there is a sizable demand for it.

Hey Sure, but then it's quite possible that the names that the OP wants to use are already taken...

(already a problem with social media sites, but might get worse here, because you might have multiple configurations instead of a single username)
