What are "Device #xxxxx" entries?

My logs show several entries with the name "Device #xxxxx" where the "xxxxx" part consists of 5 random characters.

  1. How can I find out which devices these are?
  2. Why does the NextDNS CLI on my router not recognise those devices?

    Several of them (but not all) might be Tailscale devices, as they have a 100.x.y.z IP address.

    (might be their initial random Tailscale IP address before I changed that to a more structured one)
