Internal IP getting linked to NextDNS

Hello folks,

I'm trying to configure NextDNS on my TP-Link Archer A7 through DDNS. The problem I've run into is the IP getting linked on my.nextdns.io is 192.168.0.133.

This is very odd because this is the IP of the router on the network. The Archer A7 itself is behind the router provided by the ISP. The ISP-Router manages the 192.168.0.1/24 network, and Archer A7 manages 192.168.1.1/24 network range to which all devices are connected.

Is there anything specific which could be causing this to happen. I've tried going through the settings but haven't found anything out of place in both the routers.

Please help!

Make sure your DDNS setup uses an external IP check instead of an internal one.

Some more info for the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware that I run on my ASUS router (also behind an ISP router), for inspiration:
