Consumer Reports

Everyone I use NextDNS and try to load Consumer Reports I get this error. Where do I start on fixing this? I only have the default filter list turned on. Thank you!

I'm using OISD only and I've got no issues, if you're using a filter that's heavier, if advise using OISD and seeing if things work better.

Thank you! I was using the NextDNS filter set and switched to that one and it’s working fine. Is this the recommended one?

Travis Badgley I personally recommend it as it's a set it up once and forget about the existence of NextDNS type of setup. The default filter blocks more ads and trackers and just like you've seen, it may cause some issue on certain sites. This is mostly the same with 90% of filters. It's also not that the NextDNS default or other filters are bad, it's just a different approach.

A few like OISD focus on things just working above all else, you might lose a tiny bit of privacy or see an ad here and there, but in my opinion it's worth it. I've had NextDNS for years now and for me it's flawless with the right configuration, haven't had an issue in 1.5 years. The only time I realize oh yeah NextDNS is taking care of me is when I have to disable it for some reason (WiFi's that block DoT etc) and I realize how horrible the general web is without NextDNS.
