NextDNS potential resolve issues

Hi all,

I am having issues with NextDNS I have been using it for quite a while. I have noticed some issues with my Roku device and specifically Netflix.

when I load Netflix it seems very slow loading and once I get past the profile selector it seems to time out not finding the netflix servers, if I retry often it doesnt find them. sometimes eventually it just starts working.

I have been checking nextdns whilst its loading to see if any dns queries are being blocked but I dont see any queries coming through which, I find very strange. I see log data from the Roku so queries are going via nextdns. I then tried removing all my block lists and I still have the issue.

as a final test I can play movies or TV from my phone with no problem but again I dont see any queries in the logs.

other random things my phone whill sometimes just pause on loading a website until I come off the wifi and join again.

has anyone else experienced similar i`m a bit lost on what else I can troubleshoot, only thing I have thought of is creating a second dhcp pool with googles dns just for the roku.

    I had this problem on Roku, as well. Was just watching something in Amazon Prime. Everything is slower... loading the app and watching something. I was getting pixelation and sometimes a circle.  It looks like I am getting 480p, instead of 1080p and it goes in and out when people are moving and less when people are not moving as much, in the show I am watching. I am Starlink and it was definitely not that. I switched back over to the Google DNS addys and no issues. I bit frustrating because I paid a year into NextDNS and am only using it, now, on my phone... which is slower to browse too. Takes longer to open the Weather Channel app, but the ads are blocked (lol).

      James Jones Are you on Starlink ? I am on Starlink as well and I am getting some issues with speed as well, but not on all websites, just some specific ones.

      When that happens, I try to connect to VPN and the problem is resolved. I suspect it's something about the DNS, but can't be sure.

      I never had issues with slowness in NextDNS before Starlink, but after I bought SL it started.

      Have you figured out anything yet ?
