Unidentified Devices

I installed NextDNS CLI on my Unifi Dream Machine (not the pro) and most of the devices on my network are showing up as "Unidentified Devices", how can I fix this? Most of them it is not reasonable for me to install the Profile or use the app with. Should I try putting dnsmasq in front of the router?

Here is my config

# nextdns config
config foo123
log-queries false
discovery-dns
auto-activate false
use-hosts true
timeout 5s
cache-size 10MB
cache-max-age 0s
max-ttl 5s
report-client-info true
hardened-privacy false
listen localhost:53
max-inflight-requests 256
setup-router true
control /var/run/nextdns.sock
mdns all
detect-captive-portals false
bogus-priv true

Are the devices also showing up as unencrypted requests too?

R P M  yes they are, and looking closer they are mostly coming from my router itself.

R P M Ahh I figured it out. Looks like I had set the primary dns server on my UDM to the NextDNS IP. Removing that fixed it.

cullen Good to hear. I was going to point you to the DHCP setting to check but not required now of course.

cullen Could you share what you actually did? I have the NextDNS IP as the primary DNS server for my DHCP range, not sure what setting it is you changed to fix it :)
